The Elbert Edwards Collection consists primarily of his research materials and manuscripts on Southern Nevada history. They span the period 1903-1993 and include such items as brief biographies of local personalities and the Boulder City Cemetery Genealogical Records. Elbert Edwards was born in 1907 in Panaca, Nevada. He was educated in Nevada schools and taught at Las Vegas High School, was deputy superintendent of public instruction, and superintendent of the Las Vegas School District. Edwards served on the boards of the Nevada Scholastic League, Nevada Public Employees Retirement System, and the Nevada Historical Society.
